Job Summary
CPE is a global function and handles engineering level customer escalations across the product and solution landscape. CPE brings engineering level skill sets closer to the support. CPE teams are involved in detecting and fixing issues seen with customers – including fixing defects. Another major area of contribution is improving the supportability of NetApp products by adding supportability features.
Person joining this role works for core OS kernel debugging team. He/she is responsible for analysing core dumps and automating analysis of recurring issues.
Job Requirements
- A strong understanding of concepts related to OS internals, data structures and programming practices.
- Understanding of Linux system programming.
- Advanced expertise in Python/Perl and C/C++ programming.
- Clear understanding of the product development cycle, technical requirements.
- Proficiency in product development/support within a Linux environment.
- An inquisitive mind and a desire to promote innovation
- Successfully completed complex technical tasks.
- Ability to participate in and drive technical discussions within your team and other cross-functional teams.
- Should be a good team player
- Willing to work in rotational shift
- Ability to learn new technologies and support latest NetApp products as they hit the market.
- Should be available to work in rotating shift.
- Interaction:
- Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment of other engineers to meet aggressive goals and high-quality standards.
Education
BE/BTech/M Tech/MS degree or equivalent related experience.
Demonstrated proficiency in an area of expertise is a strong plus, including 1-2 years of experience working in that area of expertise
